Senior UX Designer, Storebrand, Norway

About Me

Anders Gram

Four years at Storebrand Asset Management, working on financial services that are easier to use, clearer, and more trustworthy. I like working with people, having fun, and solving problems that matter for both users and the business.

  • I work across the full process, from research and workshops to shipping code in production
  • I've taught myself programming and AI tools so I can take a problem from insight all the way to a working solution
  • Active in the design community, former IxDA board member, UX Norge "Ukens Designer", Sandbox mentor, and occasional speaker

How I work

  1. 01

    Start with the problem

Talk to users, review what the data says, and align with stakeholders on what we're actually solving, before touching any design tool.

  2. 02

    Design straight into the process

I don't stop at handoff. I work directly alongside developers, reviewing real code, flagging issues early, and making sure UX decisions survive implementation.

  3. 03

Use AI as a force multiplier

AI has changed how I work. I use it to move faster, generating prototypes, exploring edge cases, and bridging the gap between design intent and working code.

  4. 04

    Focus on business value

Good UX isn't just usable, it has to serve real business needs. I keep that link explicit throughout the process, so the work we ship actually moves the needle.

Background

Before UX, I worked as an IT consultant and did three deployments with the Norwegian Armed Forces, Kosovo and Afghanistan. That background made me practical, and open to learn and try new things.

Beyond work

I'm lucky to have a close family around me, parents, siblings, and their kids. We spend a lot of time together, usually with good food and wine involved.

  • Climbing is my main hobby right now. Started a couple of years ago, now I'm on the wall three times a week.
  • Outside of that, vibe coding, TV shows, games, or a good book.
  • I travel when I can. Japan, Costa Rica, Indonesia, some of my favourite places on earth.
